City's Second Public Information Meeting draws 161 people
May 31, 2002
On Thursday, the City's second of two SH-121T/Southwest Parkway Public Information Meetings drew even more people - 161 - to the Trinity Valley School Auditorium. The Meeting began with an Open House, where the public viewed the alternatives currently under study and talked with the City's Project Management team members, City Councilmember Silcox and City staff. After a brief presentation (the same information as presented at the Public Information Meeting at the Botanic Garden Lecture Hall), twelve people spoke during the Public Comment period, the majority in favor of the project. The main topic addressed was the design of Dutch Branch Road going over or under proposed SH-121T. Additional comments on the project were submitted in writing. Comments submitted will be compiled and posted, along with the Project Management Team's responses, on the sh-121t.org website within the next few weeks.
The next step in the development of the City's locally-preferred alternative
will be the Project Management team's June 11th City Council presentation
regarding the cost analysis for the City's share of the SH-121T project.
