City Council Authorizes C/A Combo Open House
Aug. 8, 2002
On August 8, 2002, the Fort Worth City Council authorized hosting an Open
House to present a combined design proposal for the SH-121T project in the
vicinity of I-30. Based on the many comments received from the Citys
Public Information Meetings on May 29th and 30th, and in coordination with
area property owners and the Citys participation partners, the North
Texas Tollway Authority and the Texas Department of Transportation, the City
has directed its technical team members to develop a combined design for SH-121T
as it interchanges with I-30 in the vicinity of Summit Avenue and Forest Park
Blvd. The proposed design (the "C/A Combo") in this area combines
elements of two alternatives previously presented to the public and which
are still under study as part of the environmental clearance process for the
project. The City anticipates that the C/A Combo would better respond to safety,
local and IH-30 access and circulation concerns.
The Open House will be held on Wednesday, August 21, 2002 from 5:00 PM to
7:00 PM at Fort Worth Botanical Gardens Oak Hall at 3220 Botanic Garden Boulevard,
off University Drive. The Open House facility is wheelchair accessible. For
accommodations or sign interpretive services, please call the City Managers
Office at 871-6143, 48 hours in advance.
Also on August 8, 2002, the latest Action Plan
was presented to City Council. The City is moving forward with SH-121T project
development based on the tasks and timeframes identified in the Action Plan.
